LIFE UNIVERSITY HOLDS VIRTUAL COMMENCEMENT FOR COLLEGE OF CHIROPRACTIC GRADUATES

Marietta, Georgia, April 3, 2020 – Life University (LIFE) conferred degrees upon 125 graduates of its prestigious College of Chiropractic in a unique virtual ceremony on Friday, April 3, 2020.

The commencement ceremony for the Winter Quarter 2020 class was originally scheduled for March 27, which was the date LIFE’s President Dr. Rob Scott announced the virtual commencement ceremony to the graduating students. LIFE transitioned all classes to remote instruction in mid-March. Classes for the Spring Quarter begin Monday, April 6 and will be conducted remotely until further notice.

“In the time since I made the decision to cancel our Winter 2020 Commencement ceremony, I have carried a heavy burden thinking about the momentous occasion lost for those who worked so diligently and for so long in their academic careers here at LIFE,” University President Dr. Rob Scott said. “It simply seemed unacceptable to not do something to recognize this special class of students. And as we often say here at the University, where there’s LIFE, there’s a way!”

Numerous students, family members and faculty tuned in to the ceremony and were grateful for the adaptability of the institution to be able to honor this special class of students during such an unprecedented time in history.

“Thank you staff and faculty of Life University for this day of Commencement – the first in a life time,” commented Affiong Utuk, mother of the valedictorian for the Winter 2020 class, Mekeme Utuk. “Your innovative solution to an unforeseen situation has given all of us some measure of satisfaction and closure.”
