Accidentally put the wrong answer on the ATF form 4473..

This morning I went to purchase a rifle at Walmart and accidentally Mark the wrong answers on the ATF Form which resulted in being denied purchase. This was done electronically and a pop up from the ATF stated I checked yes to three questions which disqualified me and put me on a straw list. What can I do to clear this up? Has anyone ever encountered this before?

I always proof read any that are filled out for me when selling a gun. I ask them to reread the questions to make sure the answers are correct. I also check the info given verses what government ID they are using. Check expiration dates on ID. Address to ID before running it.
I’ll ask Monday to see what is said about this to my Boss.

Just a guess, but maybe a local gun dealer with an FFL license could straighten it out for the price he charges to receive a firearm. Use to be 25.00

Thank you Jesus for another day!

I bought Firearms at Walmart as well as many other places over the years and never had a problem. I even tried it then with my concealed carry permit

I don't think those applications are kept/stored for over 30 days. The next gun purchase would require another one. I'd fill out another, CORRECTLY, for a purchase and see where it leads.

When I was completing the electronic application at WM, I reviewed it before I submitted and everything look correct. That's why I was especially shocked when the clerk came back telling me that I had checked out some disqualifying statements. I've completed this form many times over the years with no problem
